Glass Manager-Rudbeckia Winery, Petoskey

We are a Brewery and Winery that utilizes hundreds of glasses per day. We are looking for a someone who can ensure all our glassware is sparkling clean and polished! Tasks include bussing tables, loading/unloading our new state of the art dishwasher while ensuring the distribution of the clean glassware across multiple bars. Must work well in a fast-paced environment and interact well with people.

This is a seasonal position that will start off as just weekends starting mid-April and then Thursdays-Sundays from June 21st until after Labor Day. Weekends can continue until 10/31. Must be flexible and 18 yrs or older. Valid drivers license required. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. 35 hours per week which includes Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday.

Hospitality Maverick-Rudbeckia Winery, Petoskey

We are searching for a fun-loving, creative, honest, dedicated individual to join our team. This Hospitality Maverick should be comfortable with all aspects of tasting room/tap room operations and superior guest hospitality, including but not limited to:

  • Providing guests with an outstanding and unique tasting room/tap room experience
  • Telling our Brand Story
  • Solid knowledge of the Emmet County and Charlevoix tourism destinations (wineries, breweries, hotels, restaurants, beaches, state parks, etc.)
  • Ease and comfort of using a POS system (we use Square POS and are willing to train)
  • Solid sales techniques and the ability to Close the Deal
  • Confidence and reliability with handling money and credit cards transactions
  • Reliability and Flexibility in scheduling are critical; we will require weekends, some holidays and special events
  • The desire and ability to take ownership of our goals, policies and operations
  • 21+, Valid driver's license and ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • Must be Michigan TIPS alcohol server training certified (we will pay for this class and test)

By working with us you will develop an in depth understanding of our wine region - the Tip of the Mitt AVA and of grape varieties that can grow in Petoskey. Most importantly, we are looking for that one-in-a-million personality that puts guests immediately at ease, delivers the ultimate and memorable hospitality experience and possesses a professional demeanor beyond question. Preference will be given to polished and articulate candidates with fun loving - yet mature personalities and solid experience.

This is a seasonal part-time position for 35 hours per week.
Candidate must pass Michigan ICHAT State Police background check and Drug test.
Pay will be discussed directly with prospective candidates.
We can accommodate College Students Schedule for start and end of terms.
